Jimmy Hickey is a New York-based creative director and digital marketing specialist. Raised in rural Nebraska, he grew up dividing his time between working cattle with his father and doing craft projects with his mother. While living on a cattle farm at age 3 he announced that he would one day be moving to New York City, which he did at age 26. Over the years he has worked as a cowboy, a waiter, a cook, a dancer, an art consultant, a web designer, an illustrator, a creative consultant for reality TV, and a creative director. For four years he was the digital creative director for Hachette Filipacchi Media U.S., working on the websites of Elle, Elle Décor, Metropolitan Home, Car and Driver, Woman’s Day, and many others. He is currently the head of digital creative services for Travel + Leisure and Departures at American Express Publishing.
Jimmy lives in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood of New York City. He walks to work every day through Times Square. He is an avid yogi, swimmer, and meat eater. He has recently discovered a passion for taking pictures.
